Evaluation of the recorded data

Sound point 5

Scheveninger Strasse
N 52º 27.38' - E 13º 27.28'

In order to collect data from sound point 5, Norbert Mayer placed one of his first measuring devices there in 1998. A long thin piece of metal (30cm x 5m) functioned as an aerial to capture the sounds. To avoid the generation of a magnetic field in the surrounding area, the aerial had to be sealed by metal foil and fixed to the ground.

The weight of the aerial, with its metal foil and supporting elements, is a little less than 3 grams. The skilled constructors of the measuring device obtained certain materials from America, such as fly screen, metal sticks and aluminium foil. From these a sort of 'metal flute' was designed, with a respectful length of 5.30m. The form might look strange but is very elaborate: With this mega-aerial one can receive networks as far as 56 kilometres around.

After detailed evaluation of the measurements the following sequence of letters emerged, on June 22nd 2005:

Oote oote oote
Boe
D d d d da
D dda d dda da
da
Da da demband
Demband demband dembrand dembrandt
Dembrandt Dembrandt Dembrandt
Doe d doe d doe dda doe
Boe
Oote oote oote boe
Oote oote boe oote oote boe

The evaluation of the results taken from the underwater measuring point in August 2004 are not yet included, due to the multitude of data which has not yet been evaluated.

In the vicinity of the former cable factory Rheydt twelve mounds are visible, where waves have broken up through the asphalt.

A turtle (clemmys aquatica) close to sound point 5. In the Britz branch canal Mayer found all sorts of animals on this line, as a result of which he carried out an underwater ring measurement in February 1998. The data could not yet be evaluated.
